It is not strange to hear of a seafaring voyage that ended in a tragic sinking.

But what if I told you that today's ship appeared out of nowhere and returned to nowhere, another mystery of the mysterious events of history that occupied public opinion and still is

A strange, rather terrifying story, and a mysterious issue that sparked widespread controversy, and the reasons are unknown. Whoever fears the world of the seas should take a deep breath, because today we will sail on a journey to search for the truth, which is the truth about the story of the mysterious ship SS Ourang Medan.

So are you ready my friends?

Let’s Go……………….

The Story of the SS Ourang Medan Ship:

  • The SS Ourang Medan is, according to most sources and the popular version, a Dutch freighter with Danish, German, and Indonesian crews.
  • It set off from China, heading to Costa Rica, but it did not complete its journey, but sank off the Indonesian coast of Medan in 1949 and other sources in 1947. Thus, we know when the Dutch ship Ourang Medan sank.
  • Most sources that mentioned this incident confirmed that the ship did not carry its common name from the beginning, but acquired its name, which is translated as a man of Medan, relative to the coast that sank off without reference to its original name in any of the sources.
  • Up to this point, it is expected, a ship like thousands of ships was sailing and sank to me. This ship is in a different situation.

So let’s go deeper into the story:

  • The story of the SS Ourang Medan ship begins with a distress call received by an Italian officer who was on board another ship supporting the Silverstar passing near the accident area.
  • The call was from a member of the SS Ourang Medan crew, terror evident in his voice
  • His distress message was as follows: We are circumambulating all the crew, including the captain. They are dead and their bodies are lying in the manuscript room and on the deck.
  • They stop the call for a short moment, so that the one seeking help completes with the last word, saying, “I am dying too,” and the communication is interrupted after that.

  • Then, of course, the crew of the rescued ship headed towards the location of the SS Ourang Medan ship, and when they arrived, the ship was still, with no smoke from its chimneys, and no sound from its engines.
  • Just tumbling on the surface of the water with the waves of the Pacific Ocean, the crew of the other ship climbed onto the deck of the stricken ship, to be shocked by what they found the entire crew dead, along with their dog.
  • What is strange is not only the death of the entire crew but also the situation in which the bodies were found!!!!!
  • The corpses had open eyes and mouths with a terrifying view looking at a specific location in a way that makes the viewer assert that they were terrified immediately before his death!!!!!!!!!!
  • The same applies to their dog, which was found with a semi-open mouth, indicating its barking before death.

strange!!!!!!!!

  • If you think that it ended here, you are wrong, listen carefully. After finding the bodies, the crew began trying to discover what happened, until a call from their ship forced them to leave the stricken ship immediately.
  • Smoke began to rise suddenly from the hold of the ship's stores.
  • Indeed, the crew left the SS Ourang Medan ship, and as soon as they arrived on board their ship, they were surprised by explosions that hit the SS Ourang Medan, and a fire broke out on it and sank into the depths of the ocean waters without any remaining trace of it.
  • Of course, the news spread, and the ship became famous for its strange corpses, a subject of this strangeness and mystery. Of course, various hypotheses and theories will be raised around it.

Scary Thing Right……..

But What is the secret of the mysterious SS Ourang Medan ship?

The first theory about the mystery of the mysterious Dutch ship SS Ourang Medan:

The first theory:

  • of course, must be from metaphysics, a mysterious death, panic, fear, and explosion, so the reason is ghosts, yes ghosts.
  • Various articles were published in various American newspapers and magazines, including The Alpine Times, the San Francisco Examiner, the Dutch Elsevier Weekblad, and the Indonesian de locomotief.
  • I mentioned this hypothesis by quoting the Indonesian population who heard of this incident and from which Indonesia the story of the ship SS Ourang Medan emerged.
  • Of course, these newspapers and magazines did not adopt this idea, and the reason is known. The idea of ghosts is not realistic.

Therefore, this theory was ruled out.

The second theory:

  • The other hypothesis emerged to explain what happened to strange ship accidents, so pirates appear to the fore.
  • Also, this hypothesis was mentioned in various articles to present all the ideas that were circulated.
  • To me, the researchers and analysts ruled out the issue based on the data that arrived and the pictures that were said to be of a member of the crew of the stricken ship. There is no trace of replies, scratches, or blood on the bodies.

So that theory is also ruled out

So what can happen there on this Ship?

  • After these two hypotheses begin hypotheses that can be considered logical and which have been supported by most writers and analysts.
  • Do you remember the survival that was published in the newspaper de locomotief? Well, the article issued, or rather the series of articles issued in 1948, talked about another topic.
  • A lone survivor was able to use one of the lifeboats and get away from the ship!
  • This German survivor, whose name is not mentioned in any of the sources, was found on the Coast of Marshall Island in the Pacific Ocean
  • The German man did not survive and succumbed to her wounds, but before he died, the man told his rescuers what had happened.
  • After these two hypotheses begin hypotheses that can be considered logical and which have been supported by most writers and analysts.

German man says:

  • The ship left a small port in China, heading to Costa Rica, in an attempt to keep its cargo secret, but this illegal cargo was the cause of a tragedy.
  • According to the temporary survivor, the ship was transporting large amounts of sulfuric acid, so the cargo was not stored properly.
  • As a result of negligence, a gas leak from this acid killed the ship's crew before causing the ship to explode and sink into the water.
  • One of the rescuers who found the German man told the writer Silvio Shirley of the incident.
  • Writer Wayne Brooks also mentioned this matter in his article published in 1948 in the San Francisco Examiner newspaper.
  • This booklet, which was acquired by German professor Theodor Siersdorfer, and its author is likely called Otto Melk, bears the title “The Death Ship in the South Seas”, meaning the death ship in the southern seas.
  • In this booklet, the writer talks about the ship carrying potassium cyanide and nitroglycerin. Improper storage and negligence led to the release of poisonous gas quietly and the killing of the crew members before the ship exploded. Due to the chemical reactions between these two substances
  • The question that arises, which comes to the lips of Michael East, the contemporary writer, and historian, is if we assume that the reason for the tragedy of the mysterious SS Ourang Medan ship is poisonous gases.
  • Why was the team of the rescued ship not affected when they boarded the ship knowing that, according to the accounts, the team went immediately to the stricken ship after receiving the distress call without an answer?

that is one of the secrets of the story of the SS Ourang Medan ship!!!!!!!!

In The End:

  • So, my friends, this is what we had in store about the story of the mysterious SS Ourang Medan, the ship that appeared out of nowhere and returned to nowhere, a ship shrouded in mystery in all respects.
  • And it made it rich material for amateurs of stories of myths and supernatural events, events, and controversial history that kept the door of questions open for decades ago and others to come and let me give you your opinions in the comments about the truth of what happened.
  • Is there a ship with this name, and where are its records if it exists? In your opinion, what was the SS Ourang Medan ship carrying until it was surrounded by this secrecy if its existence was proven?
  • Is what happened related to supernatural phenomena, ghosts, jinns, or the like?
  • Or were the pirates the heroes of the incident and were marginalized to increase the mystery? What about the only scientific explanation for what could have happened to the alleged ship, toxic gases, and chemical leaks?
  • Or does this story of SS Ourang Medan or the ship, so to speak, have other secrets that are hidden by local authorities for secret reasons? Nobody knows!!!!!!

So my friends I will be waiting for your comments to tell me your opinions about this article, and sure if there is any other topic want to know about it tell me in the comments to make it in the next article I will be glad about this.

Best Wishes For The Next Topic.
