Mystery of the Devil's Sea Or Dragon Triangle

Welcome again in a mystery story about another triangle on the earth but this one is connected with dragon place or devil sea as they call it.

So Are You Ready because we will travel together to Japan?

Keep focus and prepare to start this trip to this mystery spot on the earth.

Let’s Go…………………………………

Devil’s sea :

  • The Devil's Sea, also known as the Dragon Triangle or the Pacific Bermuda Triangle, and in Taiwan called the Formosa Triangle, is a large stretch of water in Japan located in the Pacific Ocean around the Japanese island of Miyake and 100 kilometers south of Tokyo, an area between Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Taiwan. , Japan, and it is said that thousands of ships disappeared in it, and is considered an example of the Bermuda Triangle.
  • Its largest side extends from the Japanese island of Yokohama to the north to the Philippine island of Guam to the south, passing through Iojima Island, Its smaller side extends from the island of Guam in the south to a group of small islands known as the Marina Islands in the north, The third side extends from the Marina Islands in the south to Yokohama Island in the north.
  • The size and area of the area vary from one report to another because no one can enter the site, but the last report that was approved was established in the year 1950 when it referred to the dangerous place and it starts from 70 miles, or about 110 km, from the eastern coast of Japan, and ends at 300 miles 480 km of coast, 750 miles, 1210 km of coast.

The strange thing is that the area of the triangle is located on the same latitude as the Bermuda Triangle that we talked about in an old post!

Strange right ………….

Reason for naming:

  • Its name dates back more than 3,000 years to Japanese and Chinese sailors, meaning its age and fame may have begun before sailing in the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Media interest in this region of the world was not great, perhaps because of the remoteness of Japan and secondly because of the lack of use of the Japanese language at the global level.
  • Some newspapers wrote about this triangle, such as the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun, but unfortunately, these writings did not resonate in the Western world, even with the help of Reuters, which published some reports about the disappearance of some ships and planes in that region.

Some mysterious incidents occurred there:

  • Perhaps the first of these incidents is the sudden disappearance of the two Japanese aircraft carriers, Taiho and Shikoku, carrying a large number of warplanes on board during the war with the Philippines. The disappearance was indeed suspicious as it was not found.

  • One of the ugliest accidents that occurred in the Dragon Triangle and one of the civil aviation disasters, which is the accident of the Korean civil plane belonging to the Korean Air Company. In 1983, this plane was bombed by the Soviet Union because it flew over an area under the rule of the Soviet Union, so the Soviet air defense bombed it.
  • They thought it was a spy plane, and the bombing led to the death of all 269 passengers, and the reason for its flight over the prohibited Soviet area was a malfunction of its navigation devices, and it began flying without a navigation device guiding it, which led to its painful end.

  • On March 22, 1957, a cargo plane (C97) belonging to the US Air Force took off from Weyak Island heading towards Tokyo International Airport, 67 men from the army were on board, and despite the ideal weather conditions for flying, the plane disappeared without a trace despite The pilot announced on the radio that he was 320 km from Tokyo, where the observers expected the plane to arrive within two hours only, but the plane never arrived.
  • In 1987, the ship Carlotta, on a voyage through the Dragon Triangle, suddenly caught fire. Interestingly, there was no flammable material on board, but the fire suddenly caught fire at the front end, and the sailors tried to extinguish the fire, suddenly the fire moved to the back of the ship, and the sailors surrendered to their inevitable fate.
  • As the fire suddenly caught fire, it suddenly went out, and the ship was now in a port in the Philippines, and the company was unable to sell it due to the significant damage caused by the fire, and it turned into a destination for tourists seeking puzzles.
  • In 1939, 3 hours after a warplane took off from San Diego Airport and when it passed over the Dragon Triangle, the captain told the Control tower that weather conditions had occurred that he had never seen before and that he was about to lose control of the plane. Communication with the Control tower was cut off, but what happened later was a shock to everyone who witnessed the accident.
  • The plane suddenly returned to the base, and the rescue teams rushed to help the passengers, but they were shocked by what they saw and found 22 dead officers!!! The captain of the plane fainted after the plane landed and died three minutes after his arrival at the base.
  • They said that the cases of the corpses were very strange, as they found holes in their bodies and chests, and their bodies were exposed to severe pollution. As for the plane, it was full of a strange unpleasant smell that scientists could not know what it was, and the mystery of this plane remains to this day a vague mystery.

  • Submarines also did not escape the evil of the Dragon Triangle. The Soviet submarine Golf disappeared in 1968 with a payload of three nuclear warheads, to be followed by the Echo 3 nuclear submarine in 1987, and then the Charlie, Victor 1, and Golf 3 submarines.

Other accidents:

  • 4 warships disappeared during World War II in the same area without the slightest trace, despite the extensive searches and combing operations that were carried out to search for them.
  • Japan also lost 5 warships in the Devil's Sea in the years 1952-1954 only and lost more than 700 military men and some civilians.
  • In contrast to the Bermuda Triangle, in which no accident occurred in more than a decade, the Devil's Sea is still active. In 2002, the cargo ship (Lingai) disappeared with 19 passengers on board.
  • According to Larry Kush's investigations, these warships were trawlers, and some of them were lost outside the Devil's Sea area, even as far as near Iwo Jima, 1,000 kilometers to the south. It is also indicated that at that time hundreds of fishing boats were lost all over Japan and this is repeated every year.
  • He also lost 7 small fishing boats between April 1949 and October 1953 somewhere between Miyake Island and Iwo Jima, a distance of 750 miles.
  • And this angered the Japanese government, which funded a huge project to study the Devil's Sea, and with the presence of 100 Japanese scientists, they went out in a ship equipped with the latest communication, research, and study technology, but the ship also disappeared without a trace, so research on that area stopped and the Japanese government considered the Devil's Sea is one of the very dangerous areas Rather, it mentioned it in its official maps of the country, as the United States of America recognized the danger surrounding that region, and the recognition of the Devil’s Sea as a dangerous area became an official matter in the countries of the world, to keep navigation lines away from it, and the issue remains a mystery that has not been revealed until now.

In sum, a lot of mysterious events and a lot of scientific research, but to no avail. To this day, they have not reached a satisfactory answer to solve the mystery of this number of disappearances.

No one knows what happened to these victims

Will the day come when we will know the truth or will it remain a mystery?
