One of the best meteor sightings for the year
2023, and it can be seen with the eyes, so check out this interesting moment,
from the 11th, 12th, and 13th days of this month.
Don't miss watching meteor showers |
It is expected that the best or second best
meteor shower for this year will reach its peak, to cause a phenomenon known as
“Perseid” when the Earth crosses through the belt of debris left by the comet (Swift-Tuttle)
and we are the peak of this phenomenon, according to what (NASA) said
The most important astronomical event for the year 2023:
- The planet Earth will witness the most important and wonderful astronomical event of the year 2023, and it will allow all of the planet Earth to see the remnants of the comet on meteorites.
- This year's meteor shower peak dates will be from August 11 to August 13 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It can be seen all over the world but it will depend on Mother Nature's cooperation and lack of moonlight. If it is raining, normally cloudy, or too bright because of the moon, it cannot See meteor showers no matter how many meteors are marching across the night sky.
How to enjoy the event:
- Check the weather forecast before you head out, as the quality of the display we see during peak meteor showers is determined by two factors: the weather and the moon.
- Find an area with a clear view of the horizon, away from trees and buildings.
- Experts say that binoculars and telescopes are not necessary because they will limit the size of the sky to be visible.
- However, if you have a telescope, pointing it towards the northeast will reveal meteors that are easy to line up with the radiation, while the longest trails appear at 90 degrees to the radiation.
- Also, the best time to see anything in the night sky is when the sky is darkest and when the subject is highest in the sky.
How many meteors per hour?
The quality of the display from a meteor
depends on several factors and can vary widely from year to year, according to
NASA, with light pollution taking a heavy toll.
Bill Cook of the US Space Agency said the
theoretical maximum number of meteors is 100 per hour, but in reality, many
people will see far fewer.
Conclusion:
- Now, my friend, will you be a witness to the rare event, or in a more precise sense, a rare occurrence, and if you see it, you will see it from anywhere in the world?
I will wait for your answer in the comments, even if in any topic you are interested in and want to know more about, tell me in the comments as well. I will be waiting for that.
